Question: I want to know what is osteomylitis!?
my husbands wound keeps draining, and he keeps sqeezing it to get the stuff to come out more, he was told he is just pushing the stuff in futher and it might develop into osteomylitis, can you tell me what that is please!.!.!.thank you!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

What type of wound does your husband have!? Where is it located!? Has he recently had surgery!? Is he a diabetic!? If he has an open and draining wound, you need to clean it well with soap and water, hydrogen peroxide, or betadine!. If the area around it is swollen, then apply some warm compresses and it may help it to drain!. He does not need to be squeezing it because he could damage the surrounding tissue!. You need to call and get into the Dr on Monday!. If he is running a fever over 100!.5 then I would take him to the ER!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
