Answers:
I am a therapist, and I had this procedure done!. I am feeling much better!. However, I didn't REALLY feel better for about 6 months and I felt the best once the plate and screws were removed!.

Without knowing more about your procedure: why was it shortened, TFCC tear!? Ligament tears!? Was an arthroscopy performed as well!? It's difficult to say how long of a recovery you can expect!. If you had the same approach to surgery that I did, remember that they actually break your ulna in order to shorten it in the middle third!. Recovery from any type of "osteotomy" (where they cut bone) is quite a painful procedure and will take several months to a year to really fully heal!.

Yes the therapy helpes, If you leave a repair job rest too often, the healing edges will 'grow' to the tissue that is next to it, this is called adhesions!. You need the therapy, as directed, to keep things limber and proper circulation through the area, for healing to commence!. Yup, it hurts, but less than what you end up going thru otherwise!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

well it depends on what exactly the surgery was!. And what they tell you is the average, not everyone's the same!. Maybe you just need a bit more time to heal!. If it's still hurting after a while, go back and speak to them!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
