What is the point of an appendix?!

Question: What is the point of an appendix!?
If we have to get it removed eventually anyways, 'cause it's going to burst and possibly kill us, why do we even have it!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

Answers:
animals use it to produce different white blood cells to break down the bacteria they get from eating raw meat (usually of a dead rotting animal) and/or grass!.

but seeing as we dont eat those we dont use it!. however seeing as it is attached to our bowel it is still a perfect portal for infection - hence appendisitis

personally i think they should remove them at birth but thats cause i had mine out 2 yrs ago and it would have made life easier if it wasnt there to start withWww@Answer-Health@Com

If you look at the cross section of the appendix , you can see that it has a HUGE NUMBER of digestive glands!. Nearly three times those found in the small intestines!.
Its located at the point where the intestine starts pushing food upwards!. The caecum lies below the level of the small intestine which causes some food to collect there!. The appendix is connected to the caecum!.
1!. Naturopaths reason that it produces large quantities of digestive fluids to digest the food left over to be digested like meats!.
2!. Also, nowadays, with our sedentary lifestyles and excessive snacking habits, our intestines have become sluggish!. So some food material gets collected in the caecum and doesn't move upwards!. It begins to rot!. This takes about 36-48 hours!. But do we get gripes everyday!? No!. !?!?!? Maybe its because the appendix produces large amounts of lymph to 'do good things' so that we can continue snacking!.
3!. We need to have more faith in nature than in scientists who change their stance about everything every 4-5 years!. Yet continue to teach obsolete concepts in schools and universities decade after decade!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

well, not everyone gets theirs removed, but your appendix, along with your gall bladder and your spleen all help process bile in your body - that is they help get rid of the bad stuff!. You can live without any of them, but you will digest certain things differently (I know, I had my gall bladder taken out)!.

They have also recently decided that the appendix may hold the good bacteria you need to digest and keep your body's PH balance in check:
