What do you do for a wasp or hornet sting?!


Question: What do you do for a wasp or hornet sting!?
Answers:
if you are allergic then you SHOULD already have an Epi-pen prescribed to you & you SHOULD know how to use it!.!.!.
if you are not allergic; then just clean the area well with soap & water due to the fact that Hornets ie: (yellow jackets) are a burrowing insect & do get into trash & harbor whatever nasties they have previously come into contact with which can cause an infection!. redness, swelling & even striation ( red streaks from the sting site) can occur!.
so long as, swelling of the tongue, tightness of the chest, rapid heart rate/ chest pains, or breathing problems do not present then you should be fine!. but Urticaria (hives) are a precursor to these more serious health emergencies in some cases!.!.!.but not all!.
the meds to treat an allergic reaction in the E!.R!. are
1) epinephrine 2) benadryl, & 3) tagamet for the upset stomach problems that usually accompany the bodies own Over-reaction to the insult of a sting!.

If not then take s credit card, your nail or something and swipt it over the sting to remove the stinger!. Put ice on it to reduce the swelling and dont move the limb or body part beause it will spread the venom and make it hurt more!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

To stop the pain I have seen my ex-husband take the tabacco out of a cigarette put some spit on it and cover the spot, the kids stopped crying asap!. I can only guess it worked!. Not everyone smokes anymore though, it might be hard to find some!. Good luck!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

If there is no life theating allergic reaction, then take some benadryll and put a baking soda and water mixture on the sting!. Also if the stinger is still there, get a credit card or tweezers and swipe/pull it out!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

first make sure the stinger is out!. then just some ibuprofen and ice!. cover it with neosporen or some antibiotic ointment and a band aid!. its going to sting and hurt for a while!. if it get worse go see your doctorWww@Answer-Health@Com

I go in and get Antihistamine shots!. Plus I ice down the area that was stung!.!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
