Answers:
First, you should put it in the ice bucket to help relax the affected area!. You should do this for the first couple of days!. Ice water reduces the chances of swelling and reduces the pain you are experiencing!. Also, take Motrin, Tylenol, Medipren or Advil to help relieve the pain!. You can also buy elastic bandages, which will also decrease the chances of swelling, but you have to put it on tight enough!. It is okay if it slightly reduces blood flow in that area!. It should not be too tight -just so it stays in one place!.

A MRI or an X-ray are good possible options because they will reveal any broken bones or torn ligaments (connects bones)!.

When you are sleeping, it is a good idea to put a few pillows under your legs because gravity will decrease blood flow that is going to that area and remove any extra buildup of sticky/thick fluid, thus decreasing chances of swelling!. Try to sleep facing up!.

Make sure to do some random ankle movements so you can notice any changes!. It usually takes 1-5 months for it to heal!. After a couple of weeks, yoga or exercises for the lower leg can be done!.

Put some cotton balls under in your shoes because it will act as a shock absorber!. Limping will cause you to put more weight on the opposite leg which is favorable!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

WHAT YOU SHOULD DO
Put ice on the injury for 15 to 20 minutes each hour for the first 1 or 2 days!. Put the ice in a plastic bag and place a towel between the bag of ice and your skin!.
After the first 1 or 2 days, you may put heat on the injury for the next 48 hours to help relieve the pain!. Apply the heat for 15 to 20 minutes every hour!. You may use a heating pad (set on low), a whirlpool bath, or warm, moist towels!.
For 48 hours, keep your foot lifted above the level of your heart whenever possible!. This will reduce pain and swelling!.
Activity:
Stay off your feet for 24 hours!. You can then begin to slowly walk more on the injured ankle as the pain allows!.
You may walk on your ankle until it begins to hurt too much to continue!.
Use crutches or a cane until you can stand on your ankle without having pain!.
If you have a plaster splint:
Wear it until your doctor says you may take it off or until your follow-up visit!.
Do not push or lean on it or it may break!.
Do not get it wet!. You may take it off to take a shower!.
If you have an air splint:
You may blow more air in it or take some out to make it more comfortable!.
You may take it off at night and when bathing!.
You may have been given an elastic bandage (ace wrap) to use either alone or with a plaster splint!. If your foot or ankle feels numb or tingly, the bandage is too tight!. You can rewrap it to make it comfortable!.
You may take over-the-counter medications such as acetaminophen or ibuprofen to help ease the pain!.
Call Your Doctor If!.!.!.
Your bruising, swelling, or pain is getting worse!.
Your toes below the injury are cold when you touch them, feel numb, or turn blue or grey!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Hot or cold, I off course recommend going to a DOCTOR, since you may have a break, a bone or something, self medicating won't cure that, will it!? Those icy-hot bandages will cost money and money wise!. A hospital has to, at least, has to make you better then you entered!. To not do such, violates their oath and the Philosophy of "to harm nobody, to heal all who enter!" Legally, HMO and Insurance BS will sadly not guarantee the Best you could get, but it will patch you up to have a better life, I hope!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

rest it
try to fix it with something!.!.:(Www@Answer-Health@Com

Ice it and wrap it with an ace bandage!. If the pain continues or heightens, call a doctor!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

have 333 dote on you and give you tlc!.!.!.!.!.!.!.~hugs~Www@Answer-Health@Com
