There are several reasons that come to mind!. You may have been a non-compliant or lousy patient!. You and he may have had words and so you no longer have that therapeutic bond!.

You may have changed insurance or he may have changed which plans he will accept!. Or your insurance may have dropped him as a provider!.

Or he may have had medical problems of his own and he has had to curtail his practice!.

Or, he violated some guidelines and his hospital will no longer allow him to do certain procedures any more!.

If he's unwilling to discuss this with you and refer you to another surgeon to provide continuing care, then I would lodge a complaint with the local medical society!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I dont think so!. I kind of have the same problem!. I had a shoulder reconstruction done in November!. It still is not healed right and the doctor will not answer or return any of my calls!. I really dont think they are allowed to do this!. I would really like to see some of the answers you get from this!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

He can; but there is usually a very good reason!. My guess is that he no longer accepts the insurance you have or vice versa!.
If you are dropped because you have been non-compliant; they normally will send you a letter stating this!.
If I were you; I'd be a pain in his butt until I got an answer! You deserve an honest answer!. Good luck!Www@Answer-Health@Com

Yes!. As long as it's not a hospital then they have the right to drop patients!. All they have to do is say "My firm is full" and they don't have to accept you!. They cannot however refuse to transfer your information to other doctors!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I believe he can refuse to treat you !.!.!. but he must have areason for this decision!. Is there something you're not telling us!?Www@Answer-Health@Com
