Dislocated shoulder??!

Question: Dislocated shoulder!?!?
Does anyone know how to tell if a shoulder is dislocated!? I tried looking on the NHS direct website, but it did not help at all! I went ice skating yesterday and I fell my back on the ice when I was going quite quickly, but I don't think it could be dislocated, but it's the only thing which I can think of!. My shoulder is really sore and hard to move!. It is also a little swollen!. Any help on this would be great, thanks in advance!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I don't think it is dislocated, there is a possibility it could be separated, but I doubt that too!. Look in the mirror, is your shoulder bruised!? If so, its probably just a contusion (ecchymosis)!. They usually are generally sore but not too serious!. If the pain gets any worse, or consists for too much longs, contact your primary care physician, or go to your local Emergency Room!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

It is probally an ice burn if you were wearing a thin t-shirt!. The ice makes the area swell up which creates pressure on the nerves!. Usually if you can move the joint without severe pain then it will not be dislocated or broken but maybe chipped, badly brused or ice burnt!. Usually if you stay off the the ice for a week the pain and swelling goes though the area may be sensitive for a while!.

If pain continues see a doctor as soon as possible!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

If your shoulder was dislocated you would know it! It is one of the most painful things that you can do!. Seperated is definately possible!. I've done both!. When it is dislocated it is extremely painful and it doesn't move "normally!." By that I mean that you can feel it rub against muscles, tendons, etc!.!. in a way that just doesn't feel right!. Or if it is bad enough you might not even be able to move it at all!. A seperation is still painful, but not nearly as painful as the dislocated shoulder, and you can still move it, but will have trouble!. The last time I seperated mine my shoulder was victim to severe swelling from fluid pooling in the joint!. I had to have an incision made and the nasty juices drained, and a couple of cortozone shots pumped into the tendons and the joint!. Either way it is still a long healing process, but my guess is that it is a seperation!. Still GO SEE A DOCTOR! They can definately tell you for sure what it is, and get you fixed up just like new!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

a dislocated shoulder is when your shoulder blade has moved and lodged in a different position , sometimes the doctor will pull it so it slots back to its original place!. if its sore you should use a ice bag this will keep it from swelling and ease the pain take 2 panadol tablets every 4 hours, if you hate the cold use a hot water bottle, have plenty of rest and dont carry anything heavy for about 6 -8 weeks!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
