I believe you had an episode of sleep paralysis!. It's scary, but not harmful!. It may have been because you didn't feel well before falling asleep!. But if it becomes too bothersome, you could check with your doctor about having a sleep study done!.

I'm not judging you, however, were you drinking alcohol!? It might have been Saturday nigh palsy!. That means if you fall asleep on a nerve it affects your whole nervous system!. What ever nerve you fell it could have affected your nervous system; your speech, etc!. Your lucky you woke up!. But if you still have problems talk to your doctor and see if you can get a referral to a speech or physical therapist!. Good luck!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Don't worry, that happens to me almost every morning, but it's not gonna hurt you it just freaks u out 4 a while, but i've been having that happen since i turned 12, and the longest it's ever happend to me for was about 45sec!.!.!. i saw my doctor about it and he told me it was because i stayed up too late, and woke up too early (but don't worry, it probably won't happen to u again, but if it does it's not harmful, and it won't last long!.!.!.)Www@Answer-Health@Com

No, that happens to me too!. I hate that!. You gain consciousness without being able to move your body!. The best thing to do is not worry, not pay attention and just lay there!. As you wake up, you'll snap out of it!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I get it from time to time!. Never knew what to call it until reading the Sleep Paralysis!. Makes sense!. I usually get it during stressful times or when sick!. Quite normal and thinking back, I'd say it runs in the fam!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I would go to the doctor immediatly!. You dont think it was a bad dream!? It could be a stroke or a small seizure or something!. It could be a small detail that there is something wrong!Www@Answer-Health@Com

It was most likely a panic attack but i agree you need to see a doctor tell him this exact thing and any history in the family with this!Www@Answer-Health@Com

Hey!!!

Iv got the same thing since 4 years ago, its like a bad dream but then u realize its actually happening to you is like you are having a nightmare!!!

It has happened to me a lot of times when im sleeping, suddenly im like half awake and half sleep, but its like i cant move but I NEED TO do it, and its quite desperating :S its like you want to shout for help but you cant move your mouth or arms!

Well, i researched, and i found that this is DREAM PARALYSIS, you can search for it con wikipedia, its going to explain everything about it!

Believe, it has something to do with your routine activities in the night, one relieving thing is that ITS NOT HARMFUL, at least not physically, but its very annoying when its too often and it makes bedtime unconfortable, i hope this can help you since its horrible to pass through this!

Ironicly im not passing this anymor, the last time i had one of those was like 1 year ago, but since then im having a quite healthy life, so iguess it has something to do about it!

DONT B SCARED! though i can say thats difficult to avoid if u have one of those dream paralysis! its terrible, it might sound silly but if you pass through one of those youll understand us!

HOPE IT HELPS!!
God bless u :)Www@Answer-Health@Com
