What are the symptoms of a broken ankle that hasn't set properly?!
Question: What are the symptoms of a broken ankle that hasn't set properly!?
My 12 yr old daughter broke her ankle roughly a year ago( back of ankle) She was in plaster for 6 weeks 2 in soft and 4 in fibreglass!.
She has been complaining for sometime now that her anke hurts but I put that down to the fact that once you break a bone like that it's going to hurt due to daily wear and tear!.The problem is now and then her foot freezes up and becomes very stiff,which is noticeable when shes walking!.Is it worth taking her to the doctors or should I take her to casualty directly and see if she can get an X-ray!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

In all cases like this medical help should be sought at once, but i would think doctor first then he can arrange referal to a specialist to sort the problem!.!.

I wouldn't be worried about the bone as much as the three ligaments in that area!. I'm willing to bet they need some rehab training!. With proper stretching and some strengthening exercises all should return to normal!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
