Teenager with back pain?!

Question: Teenager with back pain!?
My daughter has a history of arthritis, she is 14 years old and had been told she'd grown out of it!. A year ago she started to get severe back pain and her back would seize up!. Been to GP and Rheumatology clinic, but say its joint hypermobility!. Last week she seized up from the waist down, had to get an ambulance for her, and stayed in hospital overnight!. She was forced to try and walk, which she was screaming in agony!. In one breath the docs are saying arthritis is back, and the next they are saying its chronic pain she is suffering!. Has anyone any idea if chronic pain or arthritis would paralyse her like it did, even though only temporary!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

Answers:
Get her to a Diagnostician!. You do not get arthritis from the waist down!. Arthritis does not cause paralysis unless something has slipped and is pressing on the spinal cord!. Chronic pain is a descriptive diagnosis, not an etiologic diagnosis!. What you need is the CAUSE of the pain!. Someone is missing something!. Maybe a good Neurologist, to approach the problem from another viewpoint!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Many teenagers have a problem with their back!. they are young and growing, as yet the muscles in the back are not stong enough to bear the body weight!.
For the back-pain, more than yoga, it is massage, preferably traditional Indian massage with mustard oil or olive oil is helpful!. Mainly , almost in all cases, the muscular pains are due to accumulation of cold, lactic acid and carbonic acid in some area of the body, depending on every individual 's weaknesses in each body!.
Hundreds of people have been helped by simple exercises and massage!.
However do consult an orthopaedicics!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Yes! Pain and severe muscle spasm can result in this level of immobility!.

Have they ruled out a prolapsed lumbar disc or a vertebral problem!?

I would get her referred to a neurosurgeon or an orthopedic surgeon for an MRI If it happens again

The problem with most specialists is that they always look for a cause that relates to their speciality!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

oh my!
i am the same age with pretty much the same problem!!

when it hurts her, tell her to take pain killers and lie down on something soft!.
try to help her go to sleep or get her mind off of the pain!.
i was always paralyzed for only about a half hour!.
but if it gets to be longer, then take it to the professionals!.

thats pretty much what doctors say!.

;)

good luck and i will pray for her!Www@Answer-Health@Com

Chronic pain can paralyze minimally but I've never heard of the seizing as part of anything chronic pain or arthritisWww@Answer-Health@Com
