Answers:
Well doctors do arthroscopic surgery in knees usually for tears!. What types of tears well ligament tears such as ACL, PCl, and very rarely MCL, LCL tears!. What doctors usually do for ligament tears is they remove the torn ligament completley and replace either with a piece of your pettela tendon or a hamstring tendon!. If its not because of a ligament tear its cartlige tears such as meniscus or articular cartlige tears!. And what they do for cartilige tears is they remove torn fragments of cartlige and smooth it out the surface!.
I've had arthrocopic surgery on my left knee for torn ACL and meniscus took about a full year to heal!.

Oh and by the way just to know arthroscopic surgery can also be performed on shoulder and ankle surgerys!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Arthroscopy (also called arthroscopic surgery) is a minimally invasive surgical procedure in which an examination and sometimes treatment of damage of the interior of a joint is performed using an arthroscope, a type of endoscope that is inserted into the joint through a small incision!. Arthroscopic procedures can be performed either to evaluate or to treat many orthopaedic conditions including torn floating cartilage, torn surface cartilage, ACL reconstruction, and trimming damaged cartilage!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
