Question: I have to get an mri tomarrow and i have a tattoo the size of a penny on my hip!?
it is a small little heart on my hip they are looking at my knees!. is it gunna hurt im 13 i know im really stupid for getting it but is it gunna hurt!? also is it rlly loud in there!? they have to dye me though an iv does that hurt!? im really scaredWww@Answer-Health@Com

Dont be worried about the tattoo- it will cause no problems in an MRI machine!
The scan wont hurt you, you just lie down on a bed and the worst part is the claustrophobia of being inside the machine!. Just breathe, try to relax and think about something else, if they're just looking at your knees your head and body may not even go into the machine (depends on the hospital)
The dye their going to give you wont hurt or harm you at all!. The worst part of that will be the needle- which will hurt as much as your jabs usually do!. Try not to worry, it'll be over and done with before you know it!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

The MRI is painless!. The dye is no big deal either!. The only thing is the needle and really that is not very painful either!. As far as the noise it makes a kind of banging noise when they are taking the images so don't move when you hear the noise!. They will put a restraint on the knee that kinda locks in and that is just to keep your knee still so you won't have to do it again!. When I had my knee done they gave me headphones with music and they can talk to you through them too!. I am claustrophobic so that was the worst for me was the confinement in that small space!.Hope all goes well for you and if you are like me and are claustrophobic just tell them and they will talk to you and make you more at ease through the process!.Good luck and don't be afraid!.!.!. you'll be great!Www@Answer-Health@Com
