SERIOUS POSTERS PLEASE!.

Ugh, I am frustrated with my sons nail picking habit (he is 9)!. Not only does it look bad, but it is terribly unhealthy and germy!. Any suggestions!?!?!?!?!? His nails are SO SHORT and His skin is red---Sometimes he pulls the skin so much it causes a sore that gets slightly infected and we have to do the neosporin & bandaid at night so it can at least heal some!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I did the same thing!. I did it slighty, and then everyone made a bbig deal over it, and it just got worse!. I continued until, I was getting married, I gues I had a goal, and I just stopped!. By the time I got married, i had the longest most beautiful nails!. That was 18 years ago, and now I still do not chew my nails and bite my skin!.

Perhaps you can help him by showing him how to calm himself in anither way, by doing yoga, or by doing a breathing exercise!. Find something for him to do that will show him how to naturally relax!. Even things like boxing or karate, may help him!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

One of my sons had this, and there was only one thing that really helped him, even though he did not know it!.

While habits, ticks, and mannerisms can be irritating, trying to eliminate them without taking care of the causes accomplishes nothing that lasts!.

What I found was that it was a nutritional craving that was the root cause of the problem!. When that was addressed, the other remedies started to work, and the habit was eventually forgotten!.

About three months after starting on a well-balanced nutritional program, including minerals, trace elements, vitamins, anti-oxidants, and multiple kinds of fiber and protein, the picking stopped!.

I have found a family of nutritional products that have made a difference in significant, noticeable, effects to health and well-being!. Email me if you would like particulars!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

There are nail biting creams out on the market that might work!. Here's a link that offers some products: http://www!.stopbitingnails!.com/

They're kind of expensive, but they're suppose to work really well!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Can't help with pulling skin, but a lite coating of Alum or something else bitter will help with the biting problem!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
