Question: What is exactly is involved in physical exam at the doctors and how often should you get one done!?
Answers:
Records will be made of your height, weight, blood pressure, and pulse!. You will probably have lab tests consisting of a urinalysis and a blood test which routinely would check for glucose, triglicerides and cholesterol levels!. If you're a woman and it's your annual exam, you will also have a pap test!. If you're a woman over 40 you may also have or be scheduled for a mammogram!. If you're a man above some minimum age, you might have a prostate exam!. And usually, I believe, males are also checked for hernias!.

If you are having more than just an annual, routine exam, you may be required to have other tests as well to diagnose whatever problem you've been having!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

It all depends on if you are a male or female and to what extent you want!. Typically a regular physical exam begins by a nurse taking your height, weight, etc!. Then you go into a private room where they take your blood pressure and check your eyes, nose, mouth, etc!. They usually ask if you are taking any medications or have any problems and depending on those answers they will investigate further!. Sometimes they will take blood work to check your sugar levels, etc!. It all depends on the extent of the physical you want done!. If it is for a job the basics will do!. Good luck!Www@Answer-Health@Com
