Unexplainable Kidney Pain and No Stone?!

Question: Unexplainable Kidney Pain and No Stone!?
I went to the ER a couple weeks ago because I was having excruciating pain in my right flank!. I knew it was kidney pain because I had a kidney infection last year!.

It was EXTREMELY sharp and kept me doubled over!. I couldn't stand up straight to walk!.

They did a urine sample to test for uti infection - there was none!. They did not take any blood!.

They also did a full abdominal CT Scan!.

When they were done they said that my right kidney looked fine, with no signs of infection, stones or abnormalities!. However, just out of coincidence, they found a very, very small stone in my left kidney (which always aches, but it's very minor - and I assumed was because my prior infection)!.

They sent me away with no explanation for my pain!

I have an very, very, very high pain tolerance!. I broke my collarbone and the doctor's didn't believe me because I was calm and not crying!. Same when I fractured my elbow!.

But the kidney pain was HORRENDOUS!Www@Answer-Health@Com

My best answer is to get a second opinion from another hospital/doctor's office--get them to double check and cross reference everything that could be causing you intense pain!. In my opinion, that's nothing to mess with!. It can't just be "nothing!."Www@Answer-Health@Com

if drinking sodas and juice !. try cutting down on it and replace it with tons of water!. possibly stretching can help!. but its most likely lack of water!. i get the same sometimesWww@Answer-Health@Com
