My right knee hurts everytime I jog. What should I do to prevent this?!

Question: My right knee hurts everytime I jog!. What should I do to prevent this!?
My doc said there's nothing wrong with it!.!.!.but I'm guessing it's because I'm on the borderline of being overweight!. I'm 14, 5'3", and 131 pounds!.!.!.(he only reason why I'm jogging is to lose 10 pounds!.) Is there anything I can do to prevent this!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

I have sort of a similar situation!. My knee was actually fractured last year and sometimes when I take a step it kind of goes out of it's socket and slips backwards!. The Doctor just says the fracture is healed!. But I'm going to go to someone else and tell them, this isn't right! It hurts like you wouldn't believe!
First I would start by just walking!. You really don't have to jog to lose weight!. It's proven that walking can provide the same benefits as jogging without the possible injuries from the jogging which kind of slams all of your body down too hard on your feet, knees and other bones and organs!. So I would suggest try walking for a while and see if your knee improves!.
Don't worry about your weight so much right now, your knee is probably more important at this point!. You can lose weight but you can cause lifelong damage to an injured knee!.

Also, from what you say your is weight and height are, that doesn't sound so bad at all!. In fact that seems pretty normal!. What you eat is half of what you do to lose weight!. But do it safely!. Never skip meals!. Eat a lot of fruits and veggies!. Make you get some protein and I know it sounds so dorky but the four food groups are really important every day!. Just be careful with your portions!. You Can do it!. I know you can becuase I can tell you are very in tune with your body and want to be healthy!. That's such a great thing to hear from a 14 year old!. You are going to have a great life because of your wise thinking now!.

If the walking still causes your knee to hurt then you need to get more aggressive with your Doctor!. If your Doctor is brushing you off then go to another one!. It is your right to demand proper care!.

Sorry I went on for so long!. I just wish you the very best!.

Sincerely,
