Question: What kind of doctor would treat TMJ!?
i have pretty chronic TMJ and my chiropractor has been working on moving my jaw over but it really doesnt seem to help!.
what kind of docotor should i start looking to go to for more help because it hurts rewally bad and i dont have the patience to wait anymore!.

My dentist diagnosed me with TMJ yrs ago, he did ultrasounds to see how bad it was and gave me a splint!.!.!.!.so a dentist can,,,but you have to find one that is good dealing with TMJ, some know nothing about it!. Then there are Maxiofacial offices you can go to!.!.!.!. orthodontists also help!.
I hope yours isnt too bad!. I had to have surgery and they put a couple screws in one side and had to sand he bone down on the other!. Then after awhile I had to get braces and another splint, and am supposed to have a second surgery!. They arent fun, and Major expensive! Some insurance wont cover it, saying its cosmetic!.

TMJ is treated by oral maxillofacial doctors or an ear nose throat MD or even your family MD can give you a referral to someone who treats it!.
Its unfortunate that you have to suffer!. Since the chiropractor isnt helping, you need to go somewhere else!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

That's usually an oral surgeon's area of expertise, but also your dentist or doctor can probably help!. They might have you fitted for a mouth guard you wear at night!. I have one and it feels better!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
