My foot Really hurts... what do I do?!

Question: My foot Really hurts!.!.!. what do I do!?
On thursday I was play wii golf with my dad and he went to tickle me and I tryed to back up and ended up slipping on a magazine and my leg/foot hit a wooden table!. I went to patient first and they said there was no break and then they sent the X-rays over to the orthopedic center and also said there was no fracture or brake!. It isn't swollen but it is very warm and it gets really num sometimes and it also tingles, along with severe pain!. Could this be a hairline fracture or could it be something else!? I am going to the doctor because its been 2 weeks and Its still really hurts and it sometimes takes longer for hair line fracture to appear, I just need to know if there any other possibilites!? :-)Www@Answer-Health@Com

Answers:
There is a possibility it could be a Hairline/Stress fracture, but you may also have soft tissue damage!. Soft tissue damage is when your soft tissue, i!.e!. muscles and ligaments are overstretched and the fibers tear, whether that be partially or fully, depends on what happened!.

If it is indeed a hairline fracture, it will not show on an x-ray until it starts healing!. A bone scan will definitely show though!.

In the meantime ice, elevate, and take Mortrin/IBUProfen for the pain/swelling!.

Hope I was able to help, feel free to email me with further questions or information!.

Chill out and concentrate on your school work especially your spelling!. Everything will be fine in due time!. You probably just strained a tendon, ligament or a muscle!. Wrap the area that hurts loosely with an ace bandage and just try to be easy on it for another week or 2!. You might also try ice packs every hour or 2 for about 15 minutes each time (packaged frozen veggies work great if you don't have an ice pack)!. You might also want to try soaking it in warm epsom salts water!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

yes i would imagine its possible that you hurt a ligiment or tendon or something, going to a orthopedic doctor is a good idea cause they can do a MRI if needed to see whats really going on in your foot!. an X ray is only really useful to see if a bone is broken!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I bet yo are still over using it and didn't rest as long as doc said too or stopped taking an anti-inflammatory too soon, you probably bruised yourself deep inside somewhere, and those can hurt for weeks or get easier to hurt again later, I agree with asking the doc again thoughWww@Answer-Health@Com

you prob hit a vain or it might just be sprainedWww@Answer-Health@Com

That's the right thing to do see a doctor!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
