Chiropractor question?!

Question: Chiropractor question!?
when you go to a chiropractor do you have to take off your shirt for them to examine you!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

Answers:
No, unless it is a VERY unusual situation a chiropractor should not be asking you to remove your shirt!. There are several fields of techniques that different chiropractors subscribe to in order to cure sublaxation (the technical term describing a spinal column that is out of alignment), but none to the best of my knowledge involve the removal of clothing!. The only piece of clothing I'd imagine a chiropractor asking you to remove would be a jacket or heavy sweatshirt if it interfered with them being able to accurately diagnose and manipulate your spine!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Not for the initial exam or any adjustments, but most likely for x-rays, don't worry you will have a gown on!.

For the therapy (interferential and e-stim) you might want to take your shirt off if the put a heat pack on top of the electrodes because it will make your shirt sweaty, but you will be lying face down and no one will be able to see anything!.

If they decide to do some ultrasound therapy on you, yes you will have to take your shirt off, but they always give you a gown for that!. If they don't, ask for one!.

The assistants know how women feel about being undressed and they will do everything to make you feel comfortable and they will respect you and not look at you!.

It is not as bad as you think it might be!.
I had therapy done at the place I worked and had to undress and the girl I worked with was my friend but I was totally comfortable with it (and I don't like undressing in front of anyone)!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Depends!. Usually for a regular adjustment no you do not, however, my chiropractor will work on my neck and shoulders and sometimes uses the stinky eucalyptus oil on me, so I usually like to take it off so it doesn't get stained!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

No!. But if they take x-rays, which most likley they will, they will have you go in a seperate room and change into a gown if you have metal on your clothing!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

no, but they may give you xrays where you wsill probably have to take your shirt off!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
