Paracetamol question ? will this do damage?!

Question: Paracetamol question !? will this do damage!?
i have gall stones , but i'm waiting to have them removed in june!. Whenever they become painful , i was advised by the hospital to take painkillers, problem is , the pain is so severe that 2 paracetamol has no effect ( and yes i do wait an hour or so for them to kick in), so the last 2 times i have pains, i have taken four within 4 hours (not all at once, 2 at first then another 2 an hour later)!. This numbs the pain and helps me to sleep off the pain , will this cause any serious long term damage!?
i have only done it twice , and my gall stones haven't flared up this week!.!. and i have never took more than 4 paracetamol in a week!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

It's probably ok so long as you don't do it too often!. Can you take ibuprofen!? As you can take those safely with paracetamol!. Good luck and I hope the op!. goes ok!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

OK here's what to do!.!.!.my doctor told me this is perfectly safe to do but not long term!.

I was waiting for a dentist appointment at the time and the wait was 6 weeks!.

I was in absolute agony!.

Ok take 2 paracetamol then 2 hours later take 2 ibruprofen!.!.and 2 hours later take 2 more paracetamol!.
Alternate the two every 2 hours!.

Hope you feel better soon!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Have a word with your GP but in such small amounts paracetamol is quite harmless, in huge quantities it can cause liver damage!. Also it may be worth asking if you can take any other pain killers that may be more effective for you!.

Good luck with everythingWww@Answer-Health@Com

taking them like that on a regular basis could cause damage, you should talk to a doctor to put you on some stronger pain killers!. or get some stronger ones at a chemist!. ask one of the assistants to reccomend somethink!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Always dodgy for joe public to be answering medical issues!?!?
Paracetamol is not good for the Liver, but your amount seems low enough not to be of any harm!?!?
Hopefully someone better qualified will come along!?!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

I found this on the internet!. I have included the site!. It will give you the information about it!. You really need to contact your Doctor and get him to tell you what else or how much more you can take!.

How to take paracetamol

The recommended dose for adults is 500mg to 1000mg - that's usually one or two tablets (depending on tablet size) - every four to six hours with a maximum of 4000mg (usually eight tablets, but make sure you check the size of your tablets) in 24 hours!.

However, just twice this dose can be dangerous and you should never exceed the recommended dose!. Keep all medicines out of the reach of children!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I had my gallstones out last July!. Paracetamol!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!? That would not touch my pain, paracetamol will not touch your gallstone pain!. I used to get taken away in an ambulance and they used to give me morphine when the pain came on!. You have my sympathy, it's a terrible pain, I thought I was having a heart attack before I was diagnosed!. If your pain gets bad, you will feel safe in the knowledge that you can ring 999 and have an ambulance come and administer morphine in tha back of the ambulance in the street or on the way to hospital!. They will probably make you stay in over night though!. This is important! Do not worry about dialling 999 for an ambulance, I was and I was told that that's what they're there for!. Good luck with your op, not that you'll need it!. xWww@Answer-Health@Com
