Hi mztlynne
First of sounds like its not too serious as by the looks of it Im guessing you pulled your hand away as soon as it happened!.
So no more than just a partial thickness burn Im guessing
Best thing you can do at this stage is run your hand under running water for 5 to 10 minutes!.!.!.and perhaps cover it up with something thats not fluffy
Reasons
- Its best to run the water onto your arm or wrist NOT directly onto the burn!.!.!.on the arm/wrist so it runs over the burn if that makes sence
- Cover it with something clean and non fluffy - fluffy stuff will stick, and also by covering it, you starve the burn from oxygen!.!.!.and its the oxgen getting to the burn that actually makes it painful
If it still looks bad after running it under water etc consider how serious it looksWww@Answer-Health@Com

Run cool (not cold) water over your hand for at least 10 minutes!. Running water, mind, which means that you holding a water bottle isn't going to help much!. Go turn on a faucet!.
Once you've done that, you can put on some neosporin and lightly bandage the burn!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
