I have very bad pain in my ribs!?!
Question: I have very bad pain in my ribs!!?
i really don't know why my ribs or the rib area is hurting!. it is very painful to lay down, touch, laugh, cough, or even pick my baby up!. just sitting around they are hurting!. i didn't do anything to hurt them!. does anyone know what the problem might be!? a pulled muscle or anything!? if anyone has had this problem, please let me know what you did!. thanks!Www@Answer-Health@Com

A pulled muscle would hurt if you press over it, and the pain would be localized!. Considerable force is needed to pull a muscle, it does not come from lifting a baby or such!. Broken rib would also need obvious injury!.
Spontaneous pneumothorax:
Pain of changing location, mainly on one side, also around the scapula or shoulder and in breastbone area would be present!. Listening lungs with a stethoscope would reveal no breathing sounds on one side!.
Bloating:
Intestinal gas may build up under the diaphragm and cause chest pain!.
Atypical pneumonia:
Viral or atypical bacterial infection can cause pneumonia and inflammation of lung membrane - which may be then felt as it is comes from ribs!. Slight fever and dry cough would be present!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
