My doctors have always recommended AGAINST a pressure bandage while sleeping, because when lying down the limbs tend to swell, as water and blood don't move about in the same way as they do when you are up and busy moving around!. Elevate the wrist at night, and to prevent further injury to it, you might consider a very very loosely applied wrist brace, but that might even exert too much pressure!. Try sleeping on your back with the wrist elevated on a pillow next to you!. It kinda sucks, because I tend to thrash around a lot when I am sleeping, but I was able to sleep more or less still on my back when I had an injury like this, and elevating it did help a lot!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

If your wrist is swelling!.!.!. or could still be swelling!.!.!. a snug bandage could be dangerous!. But a loose fitting - stretchy type ace wrap - over a splint on your arm / wrist - may help you be able to sleep a little more comfortably!. Take some Advil or Ibuprofin to help pain and inflamation!. Apply ice - but protect your skin from direct contact with the ice - and only apply it for 20 min!. at a time!.
