What is the fastest way to get rid of bruises and swelling?!

Question: What is the fastest way to get rid of bruises and swelling!?
i fell down stairs and got big swelling and dark bruising under my eyes!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Answers:
Get an ice cube and wrap in in a towel!. Using circular motions, massage the ice cube over the affected area!. Once the swelling is gone, the fastest way I've discovered to get rid of bruises is to continually massage the area!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Best treatment for bruises/swelling is RICE: Rest Ice Compression and Elevation!. If the bruising is under your eyes, then the ice is probably the only one of these you can apply - and i would be very careful as that area is sensitive (have you got any fozen peas!?)!.
The homoeopathic remedy Arnica is supposed to be good!. Or you could try some Witch Hazel!.
If you banged your head it is important to seek medical advice if you have any nausea, vomiting, blurred vision, headache, forgetfulness, trouble concentrating or problems with balance and coordination!.
Wishing you a speedy recovery!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

A cold compress applied for 10 - 15 mins!. will reduce the swelling and help fade the colour of the bruising but, as mentioned previously, a warm compress will speed healing!. Last summer, I fell in my bathroom and hit the bridge of my nose on the edge of the counter-top (and, only, recently, realized I'd broken my nose)!. I soaked a towel in cold water, glued it to my face and went back to bed!. In the morning I looked like a raccoon but after soaking multiple towels in warm water and wearing them for a half a day, the bruising did begin to fade and was gone a bit more than 48 hours after I did my "nose job"!. The problem with falling is that your brain goes through a fuzzy period before you recover enough to do something!. Hope you look, and feel, human in a few days without too many aches and lumps - if you have some vitamin C you could try mega-dosing (5,000mg for a few days)!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

- go to a pumped chamber that imitates a high altitude place, then pump in more oxygen - both can heal the body faster
- remove the band-aid; expose it to air or to oxygen, which heals it eventually
- put ice on the swelling, it is just a matter of time
- a lot of sleep can heal the body faster
- eat right and take vitamins
- darken bruising because of coagulated blood underneath, some massaging and warm compress can make the blood flowing, esp if it is freshWww@Answer-Health@Com

I remember being told that for the first few hours you want to apply a warm compress to the area, to encourage bloodflow away from the area!.

Then after that apply cold compress to the area every few hours!.

Also Arnica cream is a good topical remedy that is supposed to help with bruising!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
