im not a doctor but im a nurse!. i hope i can help u!.!.

cat scans are very accurate, if they didnt see any abnormalities in the size and shape of your appendix, then it means it's really ok!.!.

appendicitis pain usually occurs with other tummy irritations like nausea, vomiting and tenderness, you might also run a low grade fever if it's really appendicitis!.!.

if u want to check for urself if u have AP, try this:

---put pressure on your lower left abdomen by using 3 of your fingers--note if the pain in your right lower ab increases

---flex your right leg to your tummy---note if pain in your right lower ab will increase

---sit and cough--again, note if the pain increases!.!.

if the results of this exercises are positive (increased pain in right lower ab) then it really might be appendicitis!.!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

My boyfriend had appendicitis, and when he noticed something was wrong, he said he was feeling really sick to his stomach and vomiting!. He waited a few days before going to the ER!. When he finally did go, the first doctor he was seeing missed the burst appendix!. A burst appendix can make you septic, so if you feel like its getting worse or you actually start throwing up or something to that effect, I would say get your butt back into the ER and make them check you out again!. Make sure they understand where it hurts, how it feels and that it's not getting better!. If an x-ray doesn't show anything, they may need to try an ultrasound or something to that effect!. Good luckWww@Answer-Health@Com

Appendicitis usually causes pain at very determined spot!. It is on the 2/3 of Length from your umbilicus toward the highest point of your pelvic bone on the right!.

Another sign is this: lie down on the back and hit yourself somewhere in the left area of your abdomen!. If you will feel the pain on the spot described above, it strongly speaks for appendicitis!.

Other symptoms are nausea and (not always, but often) fever!.

From what you've described, it is strongly suspicious that you have appendicitis!. CT can't show this always for sure; in this case a doctor (usually a surgeon) has to decide if he will do an operation or not!.

You have to go back to the doctor and insist on diagnostic!. You can't demand the surgery, but you need to solve this, since appendix may burst, and this is dangerous for life!.

Just go back to the doctor, say that symptoms haven't improved and they will check you again!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
