From experience - I did my ankle 6 weeks ago and it bruised and went numb and then I got pins and needles in it!.!.!. GO SEE YOUR DR!
I ended up with a complete rupture of a ligament which will take months to heal!.
If you really dont want to go to a doctor, ice your ankle with frozen peas (great for compression) for 15 minutes every hour!. Elevate it above the level of your heart (while icing and while not icing)!. Rest it!. Wear a compression bandage to squeeze the swelling out and take some iboprofen for pain and swelling!.
Make sure you dont put any heat on it in the first 48hrs as it increases blood flow which means an increase in bruising and swelling!.
But try to see a doctor or go to the hospital!
Good luck!Www@Answer-Health@Com
