Most pinched nerves will correct themselves without any treatment, but I know from experience that they hurt real bad, so to help with the pain he could get a massage or take pain medication!. I had the same problem recently, other than what medications the Dr!. put me on, she told me some other things to try!.
* stretching excercises (being on all 4 and arching back like a mad cat, then relaxing, laying on back then drawing knees to midsection one at a time, then at same time, curling up in fetal position, etc!.)
when standing up gently move hips as if using a hula hoop, when sitting bend over & touch toes
* apply heat for 10 minute intervals
If it is still a problem he may need a muscle relaxer and anti inflammatory medication!.
Good LuckWww@Answer-Health@Com
