I use EXCEDRIN back and body extra strengthWww@Answer-Health@Com

friendly has the best answer, but I would add that there are some good creams on the market which , particularly when applied before bed, do ease the muscles!.
Very gentle exercises to strengthen them and a good posture when sitting will help keep these little-used muscles toned up!.
Way back in 1962 I slipped over on a wet classroom floor - my students thought it very funny for a few seconds until they realized that I couldn't get up!. 9 weeks off work with a slipped disc!. The following year I bent down to pick up a piece of paper in the same room - 6 weeks off with the same problem!
A top London surgeon wanted to remove the disc (he'd done so with a friend of mine who had suffered the same earlier that year) but I refused as my friend could no longer bend as he used to even though his pain had gone completely!. I was told that I'd be in a wheel chair within 15 years! Always keen on keep fit I exercised my way out of it much to the amazement of my friend!. At 73 now I don't do nearly as much as I did, but still move myself around to ease my back - and my wife does massage me with creams regularly which is nice!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Do gentle stretching in all directions!. It helps if there is heat applied (hot bath or shower) at the same time!. It takes time to restretch the tight muscles!. Another thing that helps tremendously is essential oils!. Apply this recipe 2 to 4 times a day, especially right before bedtime!.

5 drops Helichrysum oil
10 drops Cypress oil
10 drops Eucalyptus Radiata oil
10 drops Peppermint oil
35 drops vegetable oil or carrier oil

Apply directly to the area that is in pain!. The Helichrysum and Cypress oils increase circulation!. The peppermint oils ease the inflammation!.

I used this oil recipe three times in the last two days and my long term left hip/lower back pain has disappeared!. My hip flexibility has increased dramatically!. I've used a Helichrysum/Peppermint oil combination on a torn shoulder before!. Three nights of application and that long term pain also has disappeared!. Look at youngliving!.com for more info about oils!. If you can't find Helichrysum (it was not available for a while), try Panaway, Aroma Life, or Aroma Siez!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I think she tore a muscle, not much she can do except let it heal and maybe in another 2 weeks do some Yoga back exersices

In any case it's just masking the pain and might need to see a doctor if advil isn't cutting it!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
