My fingernail just came off?!

Question: My fingernail just came off!?
what should i do!.!.!.its bleeding and it hurts really badWww@Answer-Health@Com

Answers:
Take peroxide and run that over the bleeding area several times--then put ice on it---that will prevent that the nail area swells!. Get some neosporin(they have some with pain relief in it), put that on the area, put a bandage around it, and keep on icing it until it is numb---you will not believe how much that helps the pain, because if your finger doesn't swell as much then you have less pain to deal with!. Keep that finger clean, wrap it with gauze bandages and treat it with neosporin until you see that it healed!. It would not hurt to see your doctor, but if you keep it clean and iced you might not even need a doctor!.

I split my toe in half last June, and the first thing I did was throw ice on it until it was totally numb--the docs in the ER who had to stitch it back together told me that that was the best thing I could've done to prevent the worst pain!. I didn't even have to take painkillers afterward because I simply kept on putting icebags on it!. If you have none, put icecubes in a ziplock bag, crush them with a hammer and then just kind of put your sore finger into that!.!.!.!.good luckWww@Answer-Health@Com

Well, this happened to my sister because of her pointe shoes (on her toe, not finger) and she just bandaged it up and it grew back!. However, you might want to clean it a little!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Clean it with peroxide, let it air dry for a few days, it will get better!. Don't put a band aid on it!. It will take longer to heal!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
