Why does the healthcare system in the US suck so badly?!

Question: Why does the healthcare system in the US suck so badly!?
I want to know why the health system in our country sucks so much, is it stupidity or just arrogance!? I tried to schedule a physical at my doctor & I thought it's the next day but then they said it would take a month for me to even get a physical!. I have also seen the movie Sicko with Michael Moore & it really understates the true reality of the health crisis in this country!. My wife just had surgery, they said she had fibroids & they had to remove them!. So she did, she has Humana (they say the best insurance) & then they are now saying it costs my wife close to $2,000 cash, the insurance paid $22,000!. She was only in the hospital for a few days and we are not millionaires and don't have thousands in the bank!. My question to you is why does the government say we have the best health care system & yet nobody can afford it, people are given less than perfect care, & it takes so long to just even get a regular physical!? Is this an oxymoron, what do you think about our health system!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

It's all about the money!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Government has nothing to do with the health care system!. The health care system is its own beast influenced by insurance companies and and medician industries!. I guess if you wanted more government, you would have to spend a hell of a lot more taxes as in at least half your paycheck each month like western Europe!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

the government doesn't get the money, it is the HMOs (health maintenance organizations) that make too much profit!.!.!.they turned healthcare into a business venture

don't blame the doctors--they work hard and deserve their money, blame the sleazy businessmen who run these organizationsWww@Answer-Health@Com

The health care system in the U!.S!. really sucks !.!.!. but why should Washington care !.!.!. they have excellent healthcare !.!.!.
They say it would cost to much to fix the system !. I think my life is too much to pay for abroken system !.!.!. Ever hear of a congressman , supreme court judge , or president , dying from lack of available healthcare!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

for me i can get an appointment the day i call , change your physician, check your policy, itll state what is covered, for the 2000$ you couldve got monthly installments, i dont know how the healthcare is in other countries but it works for meWww@Answer-Health@Com

There systems that such even more!. In the south east asia, there are people who cannot get treatment at all because they have no money or the hospitals take too long before accepting a patient!.,Www@Answer-Health@Com

Because all doctors want is money, they usually dont care aboutt he patient!.
I p;an to change that as soon as i am fin with residency!Www@Answer-Health@Com

Not racist but, I think it's because all the wetbacks come here and take advantage of free healthcare!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Government wants the money!. SIMPLY PUTWww@Answer-Health@Com

bush bankrupted us, so there is no money leftWww@Answer-Health@Com

Because the 'haves' don't want to help the 'have nots'!. My husband works 50+ hours a week as an independant contractor and I work part time from home!. Our family hasn't had insurance in 5 yrs!. We can't afford private ins!., but we apparently are "too rich" for any kind of governmental help!. We are willing to pay a reasonable deductible and premium, but can't find anyting for less than 600 a month with 900 deductible for each person (we have 5 in our family)!. When we get sick we pay $75 fee at local clinic!. If they prescribe any meds we have to pay full price out-of-pocket!. It's sad!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

There are two main things wrong with the system:
government meddling
excessive control by a handful of major insurers
Until those errors in judgement are corrected we will continue to see hundreds of thousands of folks filing MEDICAL bankruptcies each year, though 75% of them HAVE insurance!. It doesn't work because the insurance ROUTINELY denies legit claims!. They play games with "caps" on what they pay, etc!. It's bogus and the insurance CEOs make beyond massive sums of blood money that jumps up each year at the cost of lives of those they refuse to insure (they have their ways) and the legit claims they don't pay!. SOME docs are seeing the light and refusing ALL insurance and they routinely charge at least 30% less than those who play games with the circus masters!.

Want a sensible system!? ONE author figured out what really needs to be done!.

The ONLY comprehensive, voluntary, LOGICAL plan out there:
http://www!.booklocker!.com/books/3068!.htm!.!.!.
Read the PDF!.
Nathan covers it all and does the best job of anyone of addressing current problems and ending a lot of coming future ones!.

She'd take Medicare (becoming unaffordable--premiums up 120% in 10 years), Medicaid, and SCHIP and rolling it into ONE program AND opening that to EVERYONE!. It would be a
CATASTROPHIC COVERAGE PLUS plan
Catastrophic is far cheaper to offer, so great savings occur immediately!.
The PLUS is that everyone on the plan gets:
one physical
one follow up visit
with co-pays each year!.
Catching things early is moral and cost-effective!.
One ER visit IF needed would have a co-pay!.
DISCOUNTED prescription meds are included!.

It is actually AFFORDABLE because the
PREMIUMS, CO-PAYS, and what level of expense is catastrophic is determined by the person's economic situation!.
Ends:
medical bankruptcies
uninsured
and addresses the uninsurABLE (can't get insurance at ANY price)

PRICE TRANSPARENCY would be required--the amounts charged that are in every computer but HIDDEN from the patient--revealed!. Now you can comparison shop and they can't play games with you on costs anymore!.

CONTRACT law would be enforced--routinely ignored now with legit claims NOT paid (that's why half the bankruptcies are for medical bills and 75% of those folks HAVE insurance!. Everyone with the bogus insurance we have now just jacks up costs and puts more MILLIONS in the pockets of bloodsuckers)!.

ANTITRUST law would be enforced--about half the time now ONE large insurer sets the prices and that means what we taxpayers pay too!.

Finally, being VERY logical, Nathan notes we have too few doctors, nurses, and other allied health professionals YET we turn THOUSANDS of well-qualified students away EACH YEAR in the US from these schools because we lack slots!. STUPID! She'd also address ways to make student loans be paid back more easily by students going into the NEEDED areas--both professionally (such as an internist) and in geographically underserved areas (such as rural ones) and reduce costs in general as we NEED these students!. They'd NOT get a free ride--they'd need to successfully complete the programs to qualify for the discounts so we keep slackers OUT and keep their motivation to succeed HIGH, but REWARD them for success!.

How to fund it--NO new taxes for people, no fines, no nonsense at all--is explained!.

No graft possible, so no enthusiasm from politicians for a plan that actually would work and solve more than 90% of the problems we have--and we haven't seen anything until you see how many docs and others will RETIRE within a decade!. We only turn out about 17k med students a year!. Do the math!.

You think it's bad now, if we don't follow something very much like what Nathan says NOW will look like a paradise compared to a decade from now!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
