Is cracking your knuckles bad for you?!

Question: Is cracking your knuckles bad for you!?
Answers:
no it does not!. but the fact that you want to crack them speaks of a build up of uric acid!. Uric acid is what causes arthritis!. This builds up by eating acidic foods out of proportion to alkaline foods!. For example meat, sugar, starch = acid!. brocoli, coliflower and most vegatables = alkaline!.
Alkaline helps cancel out the acid!. Eat balanced and you'll be fine!. If you want to learn more about this look into macrobiotics!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Cracking any of your joints does not give you arthritis, neither does any specific forms of acids in your joint!. There is no known cause for arthritis!. There are several possibilities but no proven ones!. Cracking your knuckles with make your joints excessively loose over time and create ligament laxity which leads to poor body mechanics with movements!. In essence cracking your knuckles is bad for you but it takes a long time and it does NOT cause arthritis!.

P!.S!. - arthritis is associated with the loss of cartilage in the joint spaces which in turn leads to an inflamation of the joints (arthr= joint, itis=inflamation)!. This inflamation of the joints is caused by an increase of rubbing bone on bone (because there's less cartilage to protect bones) which irritates the joints and causes a lot of pain!. This is also why it's more typical that older people get arthritis, it's because you lose cartilage over time; therefore, younger people who have cartilage don't complain of joint pain very often!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I took anatomy this past semester and cracking your knuckles for a long time can cause other injuries!.

However this is from the John Hopkins Arthritis Center!.

There is no evidence that cracking knuckles causes any damage such as arthritis in the joints!. However, a couple of reports in the medical literature are available associating knuckle cracking with injury of the ligaments surrounding the joint or dislocation of the tendons ( attachments of muscles to bones) which improved with conservative treatment!. A study found that after many years of cracking habitual knuckle crackers may have reduced grip strength compared with people not cracking their knuckles!.
