Question: Sprained,broken,or just bruised!?
ok today i went ice skating with my older sister!.im not an ice skater i just like to play around!.well i was just trying a trick and i fell with my foot under me!.i dont know which way it turned but when i did it i sat there for a minute and it hurt!.i got back up and started to skate again and i skated for like 25 more minutes!.well now im at home and theres not really any swelling that i can see!.but its pretty painful!.it hurts a little bit to walk but not much!.it hurts a lot to jump or run!.i have broken (type one fracture) my ankle before but i forgot what it feels like!.so i just need to know whats wrong!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

well maybe you should give it a little more time, and try to relax it, like massaging it!. But I wouldn't say it's bruised or broken, because I have a couple of friends who have broken their arms, and they said it feels like unimaginable pain!. It's probably sprained!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

if you broke it you probably wouldn't have gotten back up and skated again, lol!.
you probably just got a minor sprain!. (you wouldn't get back up with a serious one either, i konw, i've tried) lol
and with no swelling, it's definetly not too serious!.
elevate it, ice it, and wrap an ace-bandage around it!. you should be fine!. :)

Probably just a sprain, though the only way to tell for sure is with an x-ray!. If there is swelling apply ice, and elevate your leg, and just try to rest!. If it's still bothering you just as much in a few days, or gets worse you should think about going to your doctor!. My brother hurt his hand tobogganing, and didn't have any major pain for two days then went to the doctor and discovered it was broken!. :D Good Luck!Www@Answer-Health@Com

It could be fractured!. Don't wait to go to the doctor!. I did that!. I just found out a month ago that an injury I sustained 10 months ago actually resulted in several fractures, a heel spur, and fluid on the ankle!. Now I am having to go through all types of treatment and have missed a month of work!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

If you skated on it for 25 minutes after you did it then I doubt you broke it!. It is probably just sprained!. Try some ice ( put ice in a zip lock bag and make sure you place a towel between your skin and the ice) on the area for about twenty minutes!. Do this three or four times a day and take about 400 mg of ibuprofen every 6 hours with some food or milk!. If that doesn't help you may want to see a doctor but that should help!. You probably would not be able to stand the pain to bear weight on the foot if you had a broken bone in the foot or the ankle!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
