Question: Should I Get a Tonsillectomy!?
Alright well I just went to the ENT today for a sore throat I have had for about a month now!. He found that I have some messed up tonsils!. He poked where he thought it was the worse and lone behold the throat and ear pain I have had on and off for a month came in the worse form I have ever had it!. So now he suggests I have a tonsillectomy, only thing is I am an anxiety freaked and I accidently googled risks of tonsilectomy and found out some bad stuff can happen!. Anyways I am curious if you people out there thing I should go through with the surgery!. I am a 22 year old Male in good health!. I hear its painful and blah blah and I am not concerned bout that, I can handle the pain!. I am just concerned about the other bad thing!.!.!.you all know what I am talking about!. Anyways is it better to take the very small risk (1/15000 = !.006%) or live with the pain!? Please let me know what you all thing and any similar stories of going through the surgery would be awesome!. Thanks allWww@Answer-Health@Com

Your doctor went to medical school for a reason!. Listen to him!. You'll feel much better when it's overwith!. Everything we do has some degree of risk in it ( have you ever tried to cross the street in a major city!?) but you can't live your life trying to deal with the minor stuff!. I just had my tonsils out, i am on my 8thday post op and im feeling pretty well!. I had terrible reoccurring tonsilitis for about three years; i finally had the operation and even though i have only had my tonsils and adenoids out for a week now i can already feel the benefits; better breathing and plus now that i no longer HAVE tonsils; no chance of tonsillitis ever again! its worth the pain you endure for a week to no longer have to suffer through throat pain again!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
I think you should definitely have the tonsilectomy!. Trust me, from experience, it was well worth it!. I suffered from constant sore throats, ear aches, and overall just not feeling well due to my enlarged tonsils!. I got them out in Sept 2007 and have felt great ever since then!. I also suffer from anxiety and was very nervous about the surgery!. If you are a Christian, just pray for God to ease your anxiety about the surgery!. Chances are, you are going to be perfectly fine!. :)Www@Answer-Health@Com
