Question: What the hell is wrong with people!.!.!.!.!?
Why does everyone nowdays use the ER like a damn wlkin clinic!? When I was younger my parents wouldn't bring me to the ER unless something was broken, I was Dying, or perfusely bleeding aka EMERGENCIES!. Now I see parents bringing their kids in at 3 am with a rash or cough or snotty noses!. Adults come in because they want pain meds or their constipated!. Its getting rediculous!. I beleive Emergency rooms are for Emergencies Only!.

I completely agree with you!. It's absolutely ridiculous the way people come in for minor things when the trained trama staff of the ER should be free for the real injuries that come in!.
Then they complain that they had to wait a long time with that minor problem, not realizing the qualified staff of professionals were probably saving someone's life down the hall!.
Their petty hurts is one of the things that causes health cost and hospitals to continue to rise!. We have a major problem with illegals that have no insurance and will not pay the bill when they see the ER!.
I sure don't know what the answer is but if my child was in a car accident and needed emergency help and the doctors and nurses wer busy with a snotty nose, heads would roll higher up on the hospital board ladder!

Yes, the people use the ER if they don't have medical insurance!. However, if your in a small town, it doesn't make that much of a difference because not that many people will be in the hospital the same day as you!. If you live in a big city, I see your problem!. I'm from the New Orleans area!. There are dozens of hospitals with hours of wait time in each!. If you don't have medical insurance, go somewhere like Charity Hospital!. Hell, they even have free hospitals seperated these days!.!.!.one for adults and one for children!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
Well, I can agree with your oppinion, but I can see where those people are coming from also!. The clinic in my small town of two thousand people, the hours are like from 8 am to 4 pm, when most people either work or go to school or what not!. And when you finally find a day to go to the doctor, they're booked up for another week and a half, so your only option is to wait nearly two weeks feeling miserable, or go to the e!.r!. and talk to a doctor!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I spent a good HOUR in the ER with a broken foot!.
Also spent a good half hour waiting when i had pneumonia and thought I was gonna die because it was double viral pneumonia!. People who don't have important things like a cough, or a sore throat should get kicked out of ER's for people with more serious problems!.
I've refused to step inside an ER unless really needed these days!. of course, it's not always worth it anyway!. Last time i went to the ER, damn doctor said I had a cold!. I was throwing up during each coughing fit, slept a good 1-2 hours a night, and even fainted!. SO a cold!. Stupid doctors!. Not worth my money!. =/Www@Answer-Health@Com

i think the reasons you should go are
stitches, bleeding alot, broken bones, and severe fever and i dont mean like 98!.9!.!.!.!.!.
i do think that any small child with a fever that cant be brought down with motrin and tylenol should be looked at, but things that can wait until morning are not good reasons to go!.

Well I know a few people who dont have insurance!. Therefore they use the ER because it has a Charity program to where family who can not afford the bill will not have to pay!. So I can understand why they use the ER!. They cant afford to go to a regular Dr!. Does this really bother you that much!?Www@Answer-Health@Com
