Answers:
i too obtained a TERRIBLE sunburn this weekend and am using some tried & true methods that always help me!.

try putting tea bags or loose tea in warm water and soak for 30 minutes to an hour!. this will take out some of the red & burn!. (it's been used to treat burn victims so it works!)

before letting the water out put some in a bottle for spritzing later & soak some rags and place them in the fridge for cold compresses later!.

vinegar is GREAT for preventing blistering and helping turning that burn into a tan, but applying it to non-burned skin BURNS like crazy so i apply mustard!. just plain classic yellow mustard!. it stinks and sounds weird but it's #1 ingredient is distilled vinegar so it works and is a bit easier to apply!. let dry and wash with warm water in the shower!.

take warm showers not cold!. warm water opens pores to breathe and that's exactly what your skin needs- OXYGEN!

DO NOT apply lotion for this will clog pores!. instead try natural aloe vera from a plant or the store!. putting this in the fridge helps with the burn!.

take a few aspirin to kill the pain!.

and if your skin starts to feel tight even with the aloe on, try busting open a few vitamin E capsules and rubbing the oilish gel on your burn!. these little babies will work wonders and guarantee no scarring! (also, on a side note, if you have scars of any sort ANYWHERE put the vitamin E on and they will start to fade!.)

GOOD LUCK!Www@Answer-Health@Com

So long as there is no blistering apparent, then try the following:
Aloe gel - this will help make your skin feel better, as well as keeping it moisturized, which is what you want right now!. Your skin needs to heal, and aloe will be a big help!. If you can get it in its natural state then that's cool, if not then you should be able to find it at most big grocery stores/pharmacies!.

Solarcaine (Lidocaine) - This has a topical, spray-on OTC anastethic, which will help a LOT with the pain

Ibuprofen - take 2 regular OTC ibuprofen tablets!. This will also help with the pain, as well as somewhat reducing inherent inflammation!. Usual dosage applies here (follow direction on bottle)!. You could also try OTC Aleve (naprosyn/naproxen), which will also help!.

Hope you feel better soon - I know all too well what it's like to have a bad burn!. Been to the ER before when I was a kid because of it!. :(Www@Answer-Health@Com

I try to put aloe vera all over the burn areas and when I am ready to go to bed I put regular baby powder all over the burn areas (after the aloe has dried) and also pour it all over my sheets (yea you have to wash them later), but not to be crude you sleep in the buff and let the powder soothe the burn area!.!.!.that is what I do, and it helps me!.!.!.!.I am sunbrunt too really bad from the pool and I'm wondering WHY I do this to myself every year!.!.!.!.good luck and trust me I think alot of r people are hurting from sunburn this weekend too!.!.!.lol!.!.!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

take pain pills such as advil
aloe vera helps tremendously!.!.
and if it starts to swell up and blister up
i would recomend going to the dr to make sure it isn't severe
if it is they can give you special cream and stuff to make it feel better
also if it starts to blister!.!.!.be on the look out for infection
if you see signs of infection which include!.!.red streaks!.!.fever!.!.warmth when touching!.!.!.go to the dr!.!. where they will give you antibiotics to kill the infection
and just remember!.!.the burn is only as bad as you make it
and DOES go away
hope your not too uncomfortableWww@Answer-Health@Com
