Neck Pain that wont go away?!
Question: Neck Pain that wont go away!?
I've had neck pain since Nov!.I've had over 6 prescriptions given to me and it still hurts!.I seen a different Dr today and she gave me muscle relaxers and a steroid pack!.
The muscle relaxers are NOT helping!.!.its actually worse now than this morning when I saw her!.The seroid packs make me sick!.I didnt know that was what she was going to give me or Id have said something!.
The medications I have from when I first said it was hurting was 11/19/07!.!.!.it has let up some while taking muscle relaxers but right now its been hurting a week!.I can barely stand it!.I feel this burning pulling sensation on the right side of my neck and pain across the back of my neck!.The back is actually swollen and above that going up in my head!.!.!.!.!.I now have a new knot I just noticed tonight!.
Its going down into my shoulders and across to the top of my arms!.
Is this normal!? I mean since Nov!? it has went away a few times for maybe a week or so but d**n this is getting old and nothing is working!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I have cervical stenosis on two levels!. You may have a disc bulge or bone growth impinging on the central nervous system!. You should consider the MRI soonest so you don't do serious damage!.They will probably suggfest a discectomy and fusion!. This is an older style procedure and has been surpassed by artificial discs!. The newer procedure puts less stress on the remaining natural discs!. DO NOT let anyone touch your neck before the MRI!. People might try chiropractic manipulation!. This can be very dangerous at this part of the body!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
