Question: Really infected ear carteledge piercing!?
my ear piercing is really infected [the whole 9 yards] how can i heal it without taking itout and using perixide [very harmful]!. i would like to avoid going to the doctor, my mom would freak and not let me get my tragus done!. i got my cartelige pierced at the mall with a gun!. can i buyy something at the convinence store!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

Right get some sea salts and mix some in a cup of warm water, they should taste like tears when mixed, then get some tissues and soak it in the water and squeeze it onto where your piercing is, do this 2/3 times a day for about 5 minutes each time, then once a day get some hot water and soak that in a tissue and hold that onto the piercing for 5 minutes, then go to the doctors and get some antibiotics!.
Then go to a proffesional piercing and tell them whats happened ask them to either sell you or order in a Titanium or Nobium bar for it and then get them to change it for you!. You shouldn't mess with it unless cleaning and do not turn the bar, do not use peroixde on it either!. The piercer may clean it for you with peroixde if they use it and if they think they should you should NOT do this at home it kills all bacteria and healing cells!.
Next piercing make sure its by a professional piercing with a needle regardless of what piercing it is!. And only ever use sea salt soaks on it don't use any 'solution' they give you, and defo not H2Ocean!!
Cartilidge is known to be a very difficult piercing to heal, it takes at least 12months+ to fully heal and even after that it can suddenly play up one day!.
Whatever you do DO NOT take ou the bar even if your doctor says to as it will heal over the infection trapping it inside!. Whilst the bar is there it is draining the infection away!.

Personally, I would go to the doctor!. At least, put hydrogen peroxide on a Q tip and swab it around the front and back of your earring if you are not wanting to take it out!. But, if it is a bad infection, I would definitely go to the doctor!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
