Question: Burnt plastic!?

I was outside a few minutes ago and my cousin was playin with a plastic doll!.!.!. we were upstairs and she dropped the doll by accident and it fell out the window!.!.right into the firepit!.!. i immedietly closed the window and ran downstairs!.!.the doll was burning and gave off a black smoke!.!. i immidietly put my shirt over my nose and i tried to get teh doll out!.!. i finally got it out!. I was wondering if i am ok!. i feel fine but im not sure if the fumes were poisionous!.!. i was outside!.!. i just need to kno to make sure i ok!.!.THxWww@Answer-Health@Com

But it isn't good to be around the fumes that burning plastic puts off a lot!. Because the black soot contains carcinogens and can cause cancer!. I wouldn't be worried about it though!. At least not since you were outside, and weren't exposed for an extended period of time!.

You should be fine!. For one thing you were in a more then well ventilated area, being outside!. The other reason I say it is because I work in a plastic shop/factory and have smelled burning plastic often enough!. I'm fine still, it isn't healthy if you were involved in long-term exposure but short term you'll live!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
