Question: Something in my foot!?
I am 22 yr!. old female with two children, on my feet all the time!. I am fairly certain there is a shard of glass in my foot!. It began to cause me pain 2-3 days ago and I ignored it!. Now there is a small pea shaped green lump underneath the skin and the pain is nearly crippling!. I, like most Americans, have no insurance, therefor I cannot visit a podiatrist!. I have attempted to lance it, but nothing came out!. Help!Www@Answer-Health@Com

Keep it clean! If something is in there, it will eventually get irritated and you may get an infection!. Clean it with warm soapy water!. If you have some hydrogen perioxide on hand, you can pour some of that over it as well!. Not too much, because it can damage good skin also if overused!.
Get a magnifying glass and a clean pair of tweezers!. See if you can visualize it!. If not, don't go digging!. If so, see if you can grab it without digging for it!.

Try soaking your foot in warm water with some Epsom Salt dissolved in it!. Epsom Salt will help draw out whatever is in your foot!. You can buy it cheap at most drug stores!. Alternate you can shave a bit of bar soap such as Ivory or Dial, put it on a clean cloth and tape it to your foot before you go to bed!. Soap also works as a drawing agent!.

If I were you I would get a needle, tweezers, and some rubbing alcohol!. I would pock the bump with the needle and try to get something out!. If something or nothing comes out I would then use the tweezers and rip open the bump!. There is probably something in there!. Because it is training green ish it could be becoming gang-green and this can kill you if it gets worse!. After you try this if it doesn't get better you should go to the doctor!. Make sure that you try to keep the wound very cleaner we the alcohol!. Hope this helps!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

The green lump under the skin is infected!. Soak that foot for several minutes in warm soap and water to let it soften!. Now find a sewing needle and sterilize it by one of two ways!. Hold the point of the needle over an open flame for just a few seconds, or wipe it with 91 percent rubbing alcohol!. Take the needle and make some openings around the lump!. You might want to take an ice cube and hold it on the lump which will make it feel numb!. Take the needle and in the very center, try putting it in far enough to see if you feel what sounds like glass!. If you feel the glass, try working it upward to where you can see it!. You probably should have someone helping you because they can see the area better!. If there is enough skin that you can have them kind of squeeze the lump up and hold, that will also help with any pain of the needle going in and around!. Squeezed up will make it easier to get any object out!. If there is glass, and they can get it out far enough to see and feel, take a piece of duct tape, lay it on the object and it should pull it out, or just keep using the needle so you can use tweezers!. If there is nothing found, have them squeeze a little bit harder to get the green puss out, wash the area again after using some Peroxide, put some Neosporin on it and a band-aid!. If you can't get any of the puss out, there is a drawing salve called Iodex, used mainly for boils, but will also work in your case!. You can get it at a Pharmacy!. Put the Iodex on and cover loosely with some gauze and paper tape, or just wear a clean cotton sock!. The green is not gangreen, it's just an infection like you see when you have a sinus or chest infection, and when you cough or blow the nose, some of the flem is green, that's an infection!. If all of that fails and no puss comes out, make some new holes, take a bottle made of glass, like we used to use a milk bottle, but any bottle will do as long as it covers the lump and the opening is big enough to place some paper inside and take a long match, light the paper and when it burns out, place the opening on the lump, this is a great drawing method!.
