It could be blood trapped underneath the nail!. It would go away with time!. If the pain is intolerable, a tiny hole would have to be surgically drilled in the nail to release pressure!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
I occasionally have this problem after a hard walk in the mountains!. It is caused by constant pressure on my toes in my boots, particularly when walking down hill and my toes are forced into the front of my boots!. The bruising just goes away but it takes a few weeks to disappear!. Maybe you have been wearing some tight shoes or shoes which force your toes into the front of the shoe!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
OMG this happened to me too! But i was getting a can from my pantry and it fell on my foot and thats how i got my bruise!.
when i first got mine it hurt for a while just ice it and try to keep off of it for a while!. Thats what I did and my big toe feels better!. Hope this helpsWww@Answer-Health@Com
