How long do stiches stay in before the doctor has to take them out?!
Question: How long do stiches stay in before the doctor has to take them out!?
I got stiches on my nail bed(My nail was removed) its been about 6 days the podiatrist said to come back in 7 more days so total the stiches will be in 13 days!.!. i was concern since to my knowledge the nail or where the nail use to be with start to heal and harden!.!. wouldnt it be pretty difficult/ painful to remove the stiches so late!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

The usual lenght of time is between 7 and 10 days, depending on the nature of the surgery and its location!.
I'd suggest going back to your podiatrist and asking her/him again, as it's just possible you may have misheard the instruction!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

usually stiches remain in for ten days!. And most people take them out themselves!. so when you see that its healing, remove them!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
