Question: I had a blood clot in my calf, now the dr wants me to wear a stocking must I!?
I have taken four months of coumadin!. Is there any other way to avoid the stocking!? I hate it!. My leg and ankle still swells up badly!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Well hon, I had a blood clot when I was expecting my daughter almost 20 years ago; I was told to wear those stockings too!. However, after she was born, I chose not to as they are so nasty to wear!. Anyway!.!.!.now I have large areas on my lower leg that are discolored due to poor circulation!. I no longer can wear any dress/skirt that doesn't go to my ankles and of course, capris are also out!. So, if I had to do it all over again, I would have put those nasty things on and worn them all those years!. I have to wear them all the time now!. I just hope my kids are okay with long length dresses for their wedding as I don't have an option anymore!. My advice to you is to put those nasty things on and wear them till the doctor tells you not to anymore!. Good luck!Www@Answer-Health@Com
Wear the stockings!. I understand that you don't want to wear them, nobody does!. The stockings will help with the leg and ankle swelling!. The main reason to wear them is because you don't want another blood clot, as they have the potential to be very dangerous as they can break away and travel through your blood stream and cause damage to organs mainly your brain, lungs, and heart which can kill you!. This is not meant to scare you but if that's what gets you to wear the stockings, then so be it!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
you must wear the stocking!.!.!. why because, it will compress your calf, so that improve pumping activity leads to good blood circulation which relieve your problem!.!.!. do you know, calf is a peripheral heart!.!.!.!. so continue stocking!.!. for swelling, try the follow!.!.!.

Yes, you should! the reason to wear the stocking, sometimes clots travel to other areas of your body, including the heart and you would put your life in jeopardy!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
