Answers:
Check with your college/university if they offer student health insurance--usually it's not too expensive!.
Also if you're under 23 and full-time, you MIGHT be able to be covered under your parents' policy!.
Does your college/university have a student health center!? If so, charges should be lower even without insurance!.

No one can quote an accurate price on what it costs to fix a "broken" leg--too many variations possible!. You NEED some kind of insurance!. Period!.

If you're young and healthy, check into an HSA--a high deductible plan and savings that go into a savings account when your luck runs out--is a very sensible option for you!. Ask an independent agent or use ehealthinsurance!.com!. It makes NO sense to have NO insurance because IF you need it, you will NOT be able to obtain it at any price!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I can't tell you precisely what it will cost to fix a broken leg because it depends upon how serious a break is involved!. Example ; A simple straightforward fracture with no nerve, tendon or muscle damage would be thousands of dollars less than one requiring a neurosurgeon, plastic surgeon and placement of a plate and pins, antibiotics and physical therapy!.
My two sons recently fractured a hand!. Both required surgery to have a pin and plate placed!. Both boys had the same surgeon and only an overnight stay!. However, one also needed a tendon repair in addition to setting of the bone!. His bill came to a total of $32,000 dollars before he was finished!. The other son's bill was about $10,000 less!.
The cost of an ambulance was $500!. If you are too old to be carried on your parents policy because you are a full time student, you better carry at least a minimum policy provided by the school!.
If you do get hurt, try to be seen by your primary care physician in the office!. Going to the E!.R!. involves a minimum of about $1,000!. Because they charge you for use of the room, and the E!.R!. doctor as soon as you come in and sign in to be seen!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

If you are a college student, which I don't believe, you would know that you can't attend college without health insurance! Colleges have insurance at a very affordable rate, and won't let you attend without it or proof of insurance from your parents!. It's a liability issue, I know, because, I attended college!Www@Answer-Health@Com

Check with local or county hospital if they have a "Medically Indingent" program in your county!. if they do, they can be helpful for people that dont have or cant afford health insurance!. good luck!. God bless!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
