My dog accidentally bit me while playing. What are the chances?!

Question: My dog accidentally bit me while playing!. What are the chances!?
I was just playing tug-of-war with my dog!. And hes not mean or anything, just when he went to get a better grab on the toy, he accidentally bit my middle finger!. It hurt SO BAD!! The nail is kinda red, and its just a bit sore now while I'm typing!.

What are the chances of my nail turning black when it grows out!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

Answers:
It really depends on how hard he bit it!. If it bruised then yes, but it should go away in a week or so!. In the meantime, disinfect the area under your nail with some neosporin (the white part that isn't attatched to the skin) to avoid infection!. I've had my dog bite me like that, to the point it bled, but no nasty black spots or anything!. I hope this helped!Www@Answer-Health@Com

not too high, as black fingernails are usually the causes of severe crush injuries - e!.g!. hinges!.
It doesn't sound like it is bruised enough, and the finger would go mulitcoloured pretty quickly, then black, and then after a few weeks falls off!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Usually it would already have shown you whether it will turn black!. The swelling will fade!.

For now, use ice on it a few times a day for 10 to 15 minutes for the next few days!. This will reduce the swelling and therefore reduce the chances of a black nail!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

your nail will be slowly replced by new nealthy nail but will take longer time !.Be sure it dog has bitten and blood has oozed out to take antirabies serum or injectionWww@Answer-Health@Com
