Question: Sprained ankle!.!?
hi, i sprained my ankle playing basketball about 3 1/2 weeks ago!. and there is still a little swelling!. will the swelling go down if i put ice on it still!? or will it not affect anything!. should i ice it and elevate it at the same time or separate!. thanks!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Yeah my physio told me to keep doing it!. Mines been swollen for 7 weeks, so dont expect yours to go down straight away!.
Just do the whole RICE thing still!.
Elevate it while you are icing it and while you're not!. Whenever you can!
Also try to ice it with frozen peas (or similar) because apparently it compresses the area and helps get the swelling out!.
Take iboprofen or something similar a few times a day (read the dose)!.
It will take a while for the swelling to go!.

i would try putting my foot in ice water like 10 min in and 10 min out for a couple hours!.!. take ibuprofin!.!. well take it if over 18Www@Answer-Health@Com
