4,000mg!.

"For adults and children 12 years of age and older, the recommended dose of acetaminophen is 650 to 1000 mg every 4 to 6 hours as needed, not to exceed 4000 mg in 24 hours (Table 2)!. For extended-release acetaminophen, the dose is 1300 mg every 8 hours as needed, not to exceed 3900 mg in 24 hours!. Some adult products (Extra Strength TYLENOL, TYLENOL Arthritis Extended Relief Formula) are not intended for use in children under 12 years of age!." ---copied from RxList!.com, link below

Edit: I just went and checked the bottle of Extra Strength Tylenol that is our kitchen to make sure!. The nurse above me is wrong!. The Tylenol bottle says to not exceed 8 tablets (500mg each) in 24 hours!. 8*500mg=4,000mg!.

Hope this helps!Www@Answer-Health@Com

You should take no more than 4000 mg per day, equivalent to two 500 gram tablets 4 times a day!. Tylenol overuse or overdose can lead to liver damage!. I've seen this happen!. Please stick to what the label says on the container!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
