Question: I just got a horrible sunburn at the beach!. WHat can I do to make the redness subside!?
I got sunburned all over my back and shoulders!. I don't know what I was thinking, but I didn't wear any sunscreen! I couldn't find it at my house so I figured one of my friends would have it!. It turns out no one did! So my back is red like a tomato and hurts really bad!. I have to go to a party in around 7 hours, so is there anything I can do to at least make the redness go away!? Oh, and does icing it work!? My friend told me it does, but I'm afraid to try!Www@Answer-Health@Com

Answers:
Pure Aloe Vera gel!.

Buy it by the bottle at any health food store!.

Keep it in the fridge!. Feels so good cold, and will stay fresh forever refrigerated!.

Slather it on again and again!. Use a good moisturizer after!.
You will get relief within 24 hours!. Do this several times a day!. Keep using until the burn is gone! You shouldn't even peel with the moisturizer over the gel!.

And you should always have some aloe vera on hand!. It rapidly heels burns, sunburns, cuts, scrapes, sores, pimples and many other skin conditions!.
My brother even mixes a tablespoon a day with orange juice and drinks it!. Swears it has helped with his stomach ulcers and (I know this is off the track of your question here) apparently it also heals hemorrhoids!. (I know, that was a bit creepy)

Anyway, all I know is aloe-vera is almost what you might call a cure-all!.

I am a redhead with very fair skin and there is nothing like aloe-vera gel for sunburn!.

Hope this helps!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Try putting aloe on the sunburn to help repair the skin and cool things down!. Also, pure essential oil of lavender that you can get at the health food store will help heal the skin and resolve the burn!. Yogurt is very soothing also!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
