The best thing to do is calm down! If you get all worked up whatever it is will be worse!. You just have to kind of put yourself in another "place"!. Don't get tense, just concentrate on relaxing your entire body, & don't "fight" it!. Trust me, I have been through a TON of medical crap (surgeries, both completely out & awake, painful medical testing, injections, nerve blocks-even in my throat, natural labor & delivery, etc), the best thing I ever did was learn to keep my mind on other things, stay calm, & just "give in"!. If it's something you will be awake for, try talking to someone in the room to keep your mind off of it!. Stay calm, & best of luck! ((((HUGS))))Www@Answer-Health@Com

don't psych yourself up calm yourself down as much as possible, look the procedure up on reputable websites such as NHS so you can see exactly what its all about!. the night before have a relaxing bath & don't go to bed too late!. As long as you know all about whats going to happen you will be able to stay calm on the dayWww@Answer-Health@Com

Actually, i would try not to get yourself all worked up!. That will just make you more nervous!. Instead, try to forget about it!. From now 'til tuesday, keep your mind occupied with other things!. Do something you enjoy like reading, cooking scrapbooking, gardening, exercising; anything to help you forget about it! Or take a nice long bubble bath or listen to music to help you relax!. I remember before i got my wisdom teeth out, i was looking up all this stuff on the web, and i just freaked myself out! So just take a deep breath, and RELAX! Everything will be fine!

Good luck!!!!Www@Answer-Health@Com

You don't need to psych up for anything!. All you are doing is going to sleep and waking up - which the anesthesiologist is doing for you anyway!. Believe me, they don't want you dying on their watch!. YOu will be fine so waste no more time stressing on something you ahve no control over!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Think calming thoughts, and try not to stress!. Also, talk to the anasthesiologist, and tell him/ her about any worries you may have!. And do something you really like to do the night before, and try to get some sleep! (Easier said that done I know!) But seriously, just !.,!.!.don't stress out!. It'll make it worse!. I've been down that road!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

just try not to think about it at all!. focus on other things!. when you dwell on things like this you only extend the amount of time and severity of the discomfort!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Try to think of your mind and body as two different things, then go and submit your body only!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
