I broke my ankle and had to have my bones relocated and fixed toegther!. But i was to young (about 15) so they wouldnt put screws in as my bones were still growing!. but they did put some sort of wires in i think, to hold the bones together!. Errrm, it hurt for about 2 weeks while it was swolen in the cast!. Then when the cast was off after 6 weeks it hurt to walk and i couldnt walk properly for about 4 weeks!. Hmmm, thats about 3 months innit!. Maybe you should tell your doctor you really think something is wrong!.
Edit: After reading the 2 answers below me, I would like to add that what happened to me, is i completely dislocated my ankle and broke it clean through in 2 places!. I did it skateboarding, the doctor said i should never skate again, and not do any sort of strenuous exercises with it for about a year or 2!.!.!. I started skating about 6 months later and still am to this day, age 19!. Dont give up hope!!!!Www@Answer-Health@Com

I broke my ankle 3 years ago and I still get pain if I walk for long periods of time, or if I sprint, or if I wear high heeled shoes for longer than half an hour :(
