It broke of on impact, i pulled it out(didnt hurt and there wasnt any blood on the toothpick) i set my leg down, then the other, i am suddenly in excruciating pain!! i cant walk at all! i had to hop and none would help me, so i had to force walk on my leg, limping like an angry zombie after food!! The doc says only walk when neccesary and put a warm cloth on it!. THe cloth doesnt do **** and need to get things done!. The ooth pick was almost all the way in my leg when i pulled it out!. So its deep!. Should i goto the doctor or let it heal by itself!? iv had worse and i didnt go to the doc and they all healed fine!. So what should i do!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

Answers:
Seems like a toothpick might be covered with bacteria, especially if your sister was cleaning her teeth with it!. Wood is pretty porous!. Clean the **** out of your wound and use antibiotic ointment!. Check the protocol for treating puncture wounds!. A doctor visit may be in your near future!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Aww, I'm sure it's not thaaaaat bad!. It'll heal by itself don't worry about it!.!. get well soon! =]Www@Answer-Health@Com

It's not that serious it's good that it was a toothpick not something that is metallic since it's more severe!. Just check if there's a leftover wood in your wound so you would avoid getting it reddish similar to blisters!. Clean it with soup and alcohol by the way, is the toothpick used!? better check it!. Let it heal, however; it will not heal fast as you think just cover it with light and clean bandages and keep it from infections!.

About walking, it's better to rest for a while and avoid forcing your injured knee, practice little by little in this way you will not trigger any pain too much!. Warm cloth may also help because it will regulate the blood to dry the wound!. Also you may apply any liquid product that helps rejuvenation faster!.

Hope this helped you!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Sometimes, people think that small things like toothpicks can't hurt that bad!. If the implement goes in at the right(or wrong) place, and goes in at a certain angle, and deeply enough, it can cause real damage to the tissue!.
It sounds like the toothpick might have slipped between joints or something like that, which can be very painful!.
The first thing I would wonder about is whether you got the whole thing out!. Since you describe it as going almost all the way in, I'm assuming you got it all out!.
Since toothpicks are made of wood, however, there could be a splinter or something!.
If you have the insurance coverage, I would ask for an x-ray to make sure no foreign bodies were left in your leg!.
If they determine that there is nothing foreign in your leg, I would contact the doctor if it continues to hurt for more than a couple days, and tell him/her that you need help with the pain!.
You may heal all by yourself, but pain isn't funny and it isn't a small issue!. Don't let the doctor dodge it!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
